When I found out you could make baileys at home I was blown away. To do so had never even occurred to me! So I read through a few recipes and decided to try it out, landing on a mix of ingredients that I thought would taste the most like the classic beverage. This recipe only makes about 3 cups of liquid, since most recipes noted that it lasted about two weeks in the fridge I didn’t want to make more than I could, or should, consume in that time.
Fresh ‘Baileys’ Irish Cream
Ingredients:
1 1/2 tsp chocolate syrup
1 tsp instant coffee
1/2 cup condensed milk
3/4 cup Whiskey (preferably Irish!)
3/4 cup whipping cream
Process:
1) In a food processor or blender, add all ingredients and blend until fully combined.
2) Pour over ice and, well, that’s it!
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 weeks…if it lasts that long!
